Through research and development, it has professionally developed the Curtain Method together with a comprehensive system for managing a snail‑rearing unit throughout the entire production cycle. This system enables provision of the correct living conditions for the snails, aiming to complete the production process with higher yields than any other traditional method.
The Curtain Method
Touchstone Snail began studying and researching snail farming in 1989. It gradually developed the High‑Nest Method and subsequently expanded its units internationally. Through continuous research it created the Curtain Method, which significantly increased production rates in professional snail farming. At the same time, a comprehensive unit‑management system was designed to cover the entire production cycle, ensuring optimal living conditions for the snails. The result is a method that enables completion of production with yields superior to those of traditional methods currently used worldwide.
Certifications
The company holds two certifications from the international certification body TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS: ISO 9001:2015 covering Consultancy Services for the Construction and Management of snail breeding units as well as Training, and ISO 22000:2018 covering the Packaging and distribution of snails.
The company’s services are provided worldwide and include consultancy, inspection and continuous support for clients across the full scope of the production cycle. At the same time, Touchstone Snail secures the market of production from breeders who follow its Method and system, having developed exclusive partnerships with markets globally for the trade of Helix Aspersa Müller, thereby offering farmers reliability and stable sales outlets.
Snail trade
Touchstone Snails is registered in the Register of Traders/Businesses engaged in intra‑Community trade for the purpose of snail commerce, with Registration Number MEEZ 588. The company exports snails to countries both within and outside the European Union, sourced from farms that have received its professional guidance and hold an Approval Certificate. All European standards for the production, packaging and marketing of snails are observed, ensuring the highest quality.
